Producer
— Dawn Morrissey Producer of the Magner’s
Boston Irish Film Festival for three years; producer/director of
documentary “The Running of the Brides” which appeared
on the Tyra Banks show 2006; an event consultant on “The Running
of the Brides” for The Learning Channel 2007; won the Alliance
for Community Media National Video Festival as Producer/Director
for “El Pelon Chili Fest” 2005. A graduate of Emerson
College, Dawn has worked on several feature films both in Ireland
and in the USA. She has worked on local Boston Indies (one of which
was a Sundance finalist), and has produced the Waltham Mills Artist
Open studios for three years. |
Director — Jeff Craddock
Jeff’s directorial debut was for the 16mm short film “Sweet Dreams, Kid” which has been screened in the Roxbury Film Festival and the Woods Hole Film Festival. He has worked on numerous independent film projects including “B-Boyz” and “The Moment I Saw You.” Jeff founded GVD Productions, a preconstruction video documentation company earning The Central Artery Tunnel Project (The Big Dig) as a major client, and has been engaged by organizations such as Blackburst Productions, Boston Film and Video Foundation, and Comtel Productions. Recent independent film projects have included the award-winning “Let It All Out” for the 48 Hour Film Project and “One More House,” a shorts directed for the National Film Challenge, both as part of the 95 South Productions team. Jeff graduated from Northeastern University with a BS in Communications and a concentration in Film and Television, and is a full-time Post Production Specialist for Harvard Business School.

Editor — Michael Day
Michael is the owner of Daylight Productions, N. Kingstown, RI, a full service video and editing company established in 1998, producing video and media for organizations such as Johnson & Wales University and the Rhode Island Junior Miss Pageant. Michael was the director and producer of the multiple award-winning film, "Writer's Block," produced for the 2007 Providence 48 Hour Film Festival. Michael was also editor and technical director for the 2006 award-winning 48 Hour Film, "Let It All Out." He is also the co-producer and post production manager for Celebrity Build, a television program that airs on Fox Sports New England (FSN). Michael, who served as a Military Police Officer with the Rhode Island National Guard for eight years, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in multimedia from Johnson & Wales University and an Associate of Science degree in Video/Radio Production from the New England Institute of Technology. DP/Cinematographer — Iga Mikler Award winning cinematographer in Europe, DP on “Let It All Out” for the Providence 48 Hour Film Festival. Iga earned a Master of Arts degree in Cinematography from the University of Slaski (Katowice, Poland) and has studied at the Blekinge Institute of Technology (Karlskrona, Sweden). A skilled cinematographer, Iga has written, produced, shot, edited and served as Director of Photography on over a dozen films and music videos shot throughout Europe and the United States. The film "The Road to Happiness," for which she produced, co-wrote, and served as Director of Photography won third prize for Best Film in the Mlodzi I Film Festival in Koszalin, Poland.

SAG Actor — Alan Francis Playing the role of Patrick O’Brien in Green Grass, Alan is member of the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, and has been acting professionally for over fifteen years. He has appeared in feature films and TV shows including Thirteen Days, Destination: Mars, Robert Altman’s Tanner on Tanner, Unsolved Mysteries, Waterfront, PBS’ American Experience, and due to be released in July 2007, in the PBS American Masters film Audubon: Drawn from Nature. Alan has also done several national and regional commercials for NEXTEL/NASCAR, Walgreens, Tweeter, WBZ-TV, Dunkin’ Donuts and others. Alan holds a BS and AS from Roger Williams University, and a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice from Salve Regina University. He also was trained at the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City.

Composer — April Thomas Composer, Jazz Pianist; Original score and music composition for “Let It All Out” (Providence 48 Hour Film Festival), “One More House” (2006 National Film Challenge) Snap, a feature length film; and several shorts, including Royal Pain and Speed Dating. April attended Wellesley College where she began to write in earnest for the school’s jazz ensemble. Though not a music major, she was awarded the college’s Hubert Weldon Lamb Prize for music composition. A 2006 graduate of the Berklee College of Music, with a dual major in Film Scoring and Jazz Composition, she received several awards, including the Arif Mardin, the Herb Pomeroy Awards for Composition and Arranging, and the Doug Timm Award for Achievements in Film Scoring.
| Actor — Lucas Constante
Lucas
Constante, a permanent resident and Brazilian actor who came
to the United States in 1999, will be playing the role of Marcilio
Filho in Green Grass. Lucas has acted professionally for over
20 years in U.S. and Brazil, in theatre and in film, in English
and in Portuguese. Theatre performances include: Francisco Buarque
de Holanda and Um Conto de Natal Brasilieiro (A Brazilian Christmas
Fairy Tale), both directed by Edel Holz, A Um Simples Toque
de Sineta os Caes Salivavam and A Extincao (The Extinction)
both directed by Roberto Gill de Camargo, and A Formiga Fofoqueira
(The Gossiper Ant) directed by Wilde Martins, and O Grito de
um Bastardo, (The Scream of a Bastard) directed by Roberto Flores,
and Companhia dos Lobos (The Wolfe Company) directed by Benao
de Oliveira. Lucas has also appeared in many television commercials
and recently appeared in the film Retalhos and Atalhos directed
by Diego Diegenes.

SAG Actor — Shana
Carr
Shana
has recently appeared in the new Mark Burnett and Steven Spielberg
show on FOX TV, On The Lot starring in Hilary Graham's 1-minute
film Bus #1. A California and Colorado native, Shana attended
undergrad at Mesa State College for a BA in Music/Vocal Performance,
subsequently attending the Longy School of Music in Cambridge,
MA, for a MM in Opera Performance, then diligently working on
her career as a versatile theatre/stage, film and TV performer.
Her most recent stage appearance was as the Virgin Mary (a new
character added for this particular production) in Jesus Christ
Superstar at North Shore Music Theatre in Beverly, MA, this
past fall. Look for Shana in Disney's upcoming feature film,
Dan in Real Life, opposite Steve Carell (Dan Burns), as the
late Suzanne Burns. Shana is a proud member of both SAG and
AEA, and will be playing the role of Iris O’Brien in Green Grass.

Actor — Sara Lukasiewicz
Sara won the 2006 NYC Picture Start Film Festival’s Best Actress Award for her role in “Landscapers Daughter.” Her film credits include several independent films including All Screwed Up directed by Neil Stephens for Red Line Studios, Pink Glasses directed by Haruko Kawana, Her Eternal Romeo directed by Aliccia Grant for AC Productions, and August Rush directed by Kirsten Sheridan for Warner Brothers. Sara, a dancer and competitive ballroom dancer, has also appeared in several theatrical productions including Barefoot in the Park (Elmwood Playhouse), The Vagina Monolouges (FMLA), The Miracle Worker (Centerstage) and 100 Magic Music Days (Disney Magic Kingdom). She can be seen in NYC with her Sketch Comedy Troupe, Poptards. She will be playing the role of Doratea Filho in Green Grass.

Actor — Erin Webb
Erin made her film debut as a ghost in Director Jason Vescera's "At The Yard," a film shot for Steven Spielberg's FOX TV show, On The Lot. Erin has studied ballet and jazz for the past five years, appearing in several recitals and dance shows, and has appeared in school productions of "The Cat in the Hat" and other children's plays. She studies acting at the Enter Stage Left Theatre in Hopkinton, MA. Erin plays the role of Erin O'Brien in Green Grass.

The Rhode Island Film Collaborative
About RIFC
The Rhode Island Film Collaborative, a non-profit corporation, helps foster the growth and education of the local independent film community and assists filmmakers complete their films from many different stages and levels of help. The RIFC was created in 2006, as a merger of the Rhode Island Film Alliance and the Providence Film Collaborative, in an effort to create a stronger and even more supportive organization.
The RIFC currently has over 800 members and holds networking meetings, casting events, educational nights, pitch meetings, writing groups, and many other types of events to help filmmakers, screenwriters, actors, and crew to network, become educated, socialize, and promote the art of filmmaking in southern New England.
